CALL TO ARTISTS:
Grow Gallery – Large-scale Temporary Art Installation

The Mosesian Center for the Arts seeks submissions from artists for a project designed to enhance the impact of visual arts on the Arsenal on the Charles campus. This unique exhibition opportunity requires large-scale images of a diverse range of styles to be printed on vinyl and displayed along fencing located on Arsenal Street and within the Arsenal on the Charles campus, home of athenahealth, located in Watertown, MA. No original artwork will be used for this installation – reproduction prints of original artwork will be produced and installed by the Mosesian Center for the Arts at no cost to the artist. Selected artists will be credited by name. This is an excellent high visibility opportunity for selected artists. Artwork will be displayed for a 3-month period and will become property of the artist after the exhibition. A stipend will be provided to all selected artists for display of their work.

Vinyl reproductions will be formatted at a dimension of 60” high by 144” wide (5 feet by 12 feet). To submit to this opportunity, artists are asked to provide up to 10 images of their work that, if selected, the artist has the ability to reproduce as a high-resolution image. Artwork used for reproduction printing will need to be at least 300dpi and fit the 5’ x 12’ dimensions (landscape orientation). Submissions are not required to be pre-formatted to meet these specifications, however artists are welcome to submit their images already formatted specifically if desired. Submissions may be single or in series. Please note, files for the jury process will be submitted at 72dpi (minimum length on the longest side is 960px and maximum length on the longest side is 4600px). Selected artists will be required to submit final high-resolution artwork via Hightail, Dropbox or another file sharing service.
